At Brentwood Bay Resort we are committed to the concept of "responsible luxury." We always try to teach our team to adhere to our “Triple Bottom Line” philosophy ensuring social, economic, and environmental responsibility. Environmental systems such as our state-of-the art HVAC system, shoreline bio-filtration ponds, use of reclaimed wood for furniture and construction, as well as extensive recycling policies all make positive contributions to both the surrounding environment and the local community.
As a result of our efforts, Brentwood Bay Resort is proud to announce a Green Key environmental rating of 4 keys. A hotel with a 4 Green Key rating is described as demonstrating “national industry leadership and commitment to protecting the environment through wide ranging policies and practices. Mature programs that involve management, employees, guests, and the public have shown substantial and measurable results”.
Brentwood Bay Resort was also one of eight hotels in North America recently nominated for the award of North America's Leading Green Hotel 2010 by the World Travel Awards in London, England and just recently completed construction of the new OceanVilla luxurious oceanfront condominiums built to LEED for Homes green standards.
