Time for some myth-busting:
Myth #1- We are far from Victoria.
We are only 20 minutes from most parts of Victoria and its mostly easy highway driving. Even better for our Vancouverite neighbors, we are close (15 minutes) to the BC Ferries, the airport, bus stops and a seaplane terminal. Taking the car? Parking is both free and plentiful at the resort. So getting to us isn’t difficult.
Myth #2- There’s nothing to do in the winter months.
It’s hard for me to think of many things that are available in the summer months that can’t be done in the winter months thanks to Victoria’s sub-Mediterranean climate. So maybe our West Coast girls can’t wear their daisy dukes and bikinis on top. But aside from sunbathing and perhaps some wine crushing tours, there’s still plenty to do to keep you occupied. Beachcombing, hiking, surfing, biking, sailing, fishing… Even the nearby Butchart Gardens continues to draw crowds and Christmas at Butchart Gardens is world class!.
Here at the resort, we continue to offer our outdoor heated swimming pool and hot tub year-round. Scuba Diving is spectacular in the clear waters of Tod and Saanich Inlets. Or, if you prefer to admire the ocean above water, charter one of our wilderness eco-cruises out into the bay to pull up crab traps, spot bald eagles, and search for seals. Feeling really adventurous? Charter a floatplane for a breathtaking aerial tour of Vancouver Island. Go to the Royal BC Museum or shopping downtown at the many designer boutiques. After shopping enjoy a little pampering in the Spa , which features seasonal treatments designed to warm you up and stimulate your senses. Our restaurants are inspired by the fruits of fall and winter and our Chef design menus that highlight the spices of the season. Join us on New Years Eve for the culinary event of the season in the SeaGrille or Party in the Pub and dance all night long to the sounds of Brentwood Bay's own DJ. After all the festivities just curl up in front of your fireplace in your OceanSuite or a bubbly jacuzzi in your spa like bathroom. Grab a good book and bottle of wine from our award wining cellar and discover once again how to truly make new memories.
Myth #3- It snows in the Winter.
Maybe in Winnipeg but not here, Victoria actually has the warmest climate in Canada and seldom goes below zero and hardly ever snows in the winter...no wonder everyone wants to move here on southern Vancouver Island to enjoy Canada's only "sub-mediterranean" climate zone. The winter and shoulder seasons are also the perfect time to experiance Victoria's only 5-Star Ocean front resort at the lowest rates of the season with rooms from just $189 per night. Our 2 or 3 day room packages offer you the full Brentwood Bay experience for significant savings. For exclusive offers, subscribe to our Enews.
So now the secret’s out! Considering staying the night our Guest Service team at 1-888-544-2079 or just stop by the front desk and our helpful Guest Service Agents would be pleased to take you on a tour of the resort or arrange all your fun winter activities.
Our slogan says it best—we’re not a million miles away, it just feels like it!
